1 package (32 ounces) shredded potatoes
1 can (10 ¾ ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup
16 ounces sour cream
12 ounces grated cheddar cheese
½ cup chopped onions
½ cup melted butter or margarine
salt and pepper to taste
Topping:
¾ cup crushed cornflakes or breadcrumbs
2 tablespoon melted butter or margarine
Mix ingredients together and pour into buttered baking dish (9- x 13-inch). Top with breadcrumb or cornflake mixture. Bake at 350 degrees F until it starts to bubble. Reduce heat of oven to 275 degrees and bake one hour or until it is no longer soupy.
