Marian Folgate's Vegetable Dill Dip

1 cup sour cream
2/3 cup salad dressing
1 T minced onion
1 T chopped dill weed
1 tsp seasoned salt

Mix together. Let stand 24 hours before serving.

Irene Schubert's (Ola Kampmeier's daughter's girlfriend) Barbecued Limas

1 lb. dried Lima Beans
4 c. water
1-1/2 c chopped onions
1 c. ketchup
2/3 c. dark corn syrup
1 tblsp salt
2 tsp liquid smoke
9 drops tabasco
6 bacon slices, cut up

Soak beans over night in water. Do not drain. Add onions, bring to boil, simmer for 30 min. Combine rest of ingredients. Either bake for 1 hr at 400° or use slow cooker til done. Can then put in dish and bake a little for looks. These freeze well too very good.

Not sure what your taste are - had several others that I could of sent like "Frozen Peanut Butter Pie" or "Pumpkin Pecan Pie" "Frozen Hash Browns" or "PIneapple Beets" or "Sour Cream Apple Pie" so if you don't care for the one enclosed - would be happy to send on another one. Ola Kampmeier is my girlfriends mother.

Josefrena's Snack

4 oz. Mozzarella Cheese, grated
4 oz. Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated
1 Small can Ortega Green Chiles, chopped and drained
1 Cup Mayonnaise
1 tsp. garlic powder

Mix all together. Slice french rolls into 1/4 inch slices and heap mixture on bread. Freeze. When ready to use, remove from freezer and immediately place on cooky (sic) sheet. Bake 350° in oven until bubbly. Serve with your favorite drink.

Nancy Slick's (daughter of Ola Kampmeier) Cheese Wafers

1-1/2 sticks margarine
1 lb. Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground red pepper
1/2 tsp ground paprika
1 cup chopped peanuts
2 cups unbleached flour

Melt margarine and pour over cheese. Add next 4 ingredients and mix. Gradually mix in flour. Form dough into 1" logs and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill 1-1/2 hours or so. Slice in 1/4" slices. Bake in 450° oven 10 minutes. Makes 10-12 dozen & freezes well.

Mamie Eisenhower's Fudge

4.5 Cups Sugar
2 T Butter or Margarine
Dash Salt
1 tall can evaporated milk (versus a short can?)
12 oz. pkg. semisweet chocolate pieces
3 4 oz. pkg. sweet cooking chocolate - broken
2 Cups Marshmallow Cream
2 Cups Chopped Walnuts or Pecans

Combine sugar, butter, salt and milk in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Combine chocolates, marshmallow cream and nuts in a mixing bowl. Pour syrup over chocolate and beat until chocolate is melted. Turn into a well-greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Cool several hours, or until firm. Cut into squares and store in an airtight container. Makes about 5 pounds.
